Name: Mama Juju and the Jam Tarts
Brief Blurb: Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts embrace their inner girl power with quirky songs, big personalities and sweet harmonies. They easily slide across musical genres from folk to country, jazz, rock and blues. Their sassy and sometimes funny original songs have been well received at Festival performances and via the radio airwaves. A Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts concert is like a box of chocolates- you never quite know what you are going to get next! Laugh at their silly songs, cruise to a jazz standard, sing along to re- imagined covers of songs you know and love, or dance the night away! Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts know how to entertain and always create a fun, upbeat vibe whenever they hit the stage. Brought together by their mutual IAS (Instrument Acquisition Syndrome) The tarts love sharing and collecting instruments and over the years the band has featured flute, ukulele, guitar, bass, spoons, washboard, harmonica, glockenspiel, lagerphone, oboe, congas, drums and more! They have recorded 2 CDs- “Titbits” which is almost sold out and “Ukulele Mama.”
