Name: Jaff and Jackie Jefferies
Brief Blurb:

Jaff (aka Adrian Jefferies) has been involved in traditional music since his teenage years spent in the Glens of Antrim in north eastern Ireland. Playing whistle, mandolin, Irish bouzouki and uilleann pipes. Jaff has played in and recorded with several bands in Ireland and Australia, including Clachan Cross, Shebeen, Tulca Mór, The Jar, Fonn, and more recently with Gaelic band, Ériu, and The Armagh Rhymers and Beirt Phíobairí, Beirt Scéalaithe involving storytelling and uilleann pipe performances. Jaff met Jackie at a summer folk festival in Galloway, Scotland where romance blossomed and the two now play as duo “Toss the Feathers” with gigs lined up in Ireland and Germany.

Jackie is a singer of traditional Scots and Irish songs and is a TMSA competition winner in unaccompanied song. Until recently she lived in Scotland gigging with various musicians from all over the country including the Matt Seattle Band with whom she recorded ‘Song for the Early Days of a Better Nation’, a Scottish anthem based on the words of the Scots artist Alister Gray which was used widely during the campaign for Scottish independence. She moved to the north of Ireland in November, 2018 following her marriage to Jaff where amongst other things she is learning Gaelic, singing in a Gaelic choir and of course exploring new sounds as the Scottish half of Toss the Feathers.
