Name: Sue Ray
Brief Blurb: Sue Ray is an Australian Indigenous multi-award-winning singer/songwriter that captivates audiences with her smoky rich voice, high energy and emotionally charged performances. Her sound is described as a smooth crossover of classic country and blues, with comparisons to Bonnie Raitt, Chris Stapleton and Lucinda Williams a common occurrence. Following a “gap” year or two in Nashville where she worked alongside industry greats and connected into the scene, gigging and writing, she has been back in Australia performing. Sue Ray has performed at many national and international festivals including The Woodford Folk Festival, The Americana Music Conference in Nashville TN, Bigsound Brisbane, Blue Mountains Blues & Roots Festival Katoomba, AWME World Music Conference and at the 2019 Gympie Muster.
