Name: Ciderhouse
Brief Blurb: Cider House is a collaboration between fiddle player / vocalist Rachel Witney-Lacey and guitarist / bassist / mandolinist / vocalist Steve Dorahy. Rachel is a native Queenslander and grew up in the infinitely musical Witney family in the hills just outside of Gympie. Steve is a Sydneysider who moved to Brisbane in 1991 after throwing in the dinner jacket a few years earlier. Both musicians did their fair share of classical torture , with Rachel winding up studying music at University and Steve studying Spanish Guitar under Don Neander and Jazz with Don Andrews. With a lot of background in common, they both experience a love of what Steve likes to call "Period Pieces" , songs and tunes of vigour, beauty and history. With guest Artiste !
